Interested in Testing a Solution at METEC?

METEC offers protocol and customized testing options for a variety of methane detection and quantification solutions (fixed, mobile, aerial). Complete the METEC Testing Intake Form and staff will schedule an intake meeting.

Prior to working at the METEC field site, all groups are required to have in place a signed Site Access Agreement (SAA) and Confidentiality Disclosure Agreement (CDA).

In addition to these documents, if work will include the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS / Drones) prior approval for their use at the site must be obtained. Information on how to fulfill these needs can be found in the SAA.  CSU’s policy on the use of UAS can be found here, and a Drone approval form can be accessed here.

2025 ADED Test – Using Revised Protocol

CSU will perform controlled testing of continuous monitoring systems at METEC in 2025 following the Revised ADED style protocol updated in the METEC 2.0 program. This controlled test protocol is designed to evaluate observation, localization, quantification, and alerting metrics of continuous monitoring (CM) solutions.

Interested in participating? Complete the 2025 ADED Testing Form.

Optical Gas Imaging (OGI) Training

METEC offers an OGI practical class that provides hands-on experience identifying and quantifying  methane emissions.

The class is designed to benefit new users, as well as experienced OGI surveyors, through a complementary approach with a typical OGI I certification course.

Trainings are offered regularly, complete the OGI Training Interest Form and METEC staff will reach out to arrange a course.
