METEC offers protocol and customized testing options for a variety of methane detection and quantification solutions (fixed, mobile, aerial).
To schedule an intake meeting, please email [email protected]
Prior to working at the METEC field site, all groups are required to have in place a signed Combined Site Access Agreement and Non-disclosure Agreement. Contact: [email protected] for a copy of the agreement.
Work with METEC staff prior to completing this agreement. Please note, additional approval time is needed when edits/changes are requested to the agreement.
Also, if work will include the use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS / Drones) prior approval for their use at the site must be obtained. A separate modular agreement form will be used in these situations. CSU’s policy on the use of UAS can be found here, and a Drone approval form can be accessed here.
Annually, METEC uses an international controlled test protocol to standardize methodologies for leak detection testing across diverse geographic and regulatory environments, fostering global collaboration and scientific precision in methane emission measurement and control.
Visit the ADED Test webpage for additional information regarding this annual controlled test. The 2026 test window is expected to begin in February.
For information on how to participate, complete the ADED Test Interest Form, or contact [email protected]
METEC offers an OGI practical class that provides hands-on experience identifying and quantifying methane emissions.
The class is designed to benefit new users, as well as experienced OGI surveyors, through a complementary approach with a typical OGI I certification course.
Trainings are offered regularly, complete the OGI Training Interest Form and METEC staff will reach out to arrange a course.
